Black Tea Wake-Up Call
We
get it, you pulled an all-nighter and now you're up earlier than you
thought you'd be or had to be. You take one tiny peek in the mirror and
let's be honest... not a pretty sight. Your first thought is to reach
for a pot of coffee and a cold compress for those sleepy eyes of yours.
Let me stop you right there. Try a cup of black tea instead AND make it
work double for you. You'll be getting a kick of caffeine + if you cool
those tea bags you can get a cold compress as well.
Ingredients:
* 2 black tea bags
* water
(Could it get any simpler? ^-^ )
Benefits:
Caffeine
is known to wake up tired eyes and constrict blood vessels to reduce
puffiness. You can take advantage of that by picking up some black tea
next time you hit the supermarket.
Steps:
1. Steep the tea bags in hot water for 3-5 minutes.
2. Remove the tea bags from the water and let them cool to a warm temp.
3. Lay your head back & place a tea bag over each eye.
4. Cover with a small towel.
5. Remove the towel and bags after 10-15 minutes.
6. Rinse face & pat dry.
Tips:
When
removing the tea bags from the water make sure to remove any excess
water. Really strain the water out(no drippy mess here). Once you've
removed the tea bags from the water, you can enjoy the tea while the tea
bags are left to cool. Give it a try and see how it works for you! ^-^
