#GirlCrush -- Abby
We recently met Abby, who just started Wholehearted, and we absolutely fell in love! She's super fun, super cute, and we are so happy to add her to our #girlgang! We did a little interview together and she had some great things to say. Check out the interview and her brand!

Tell us a Little More about yourself!
I’m Abby, a North Carolina State University student studying communication. I launched my blog Wholehearted (@awholeheartedlife) back in January and am loving the adventure so far! Some of my loves are travel, dogs, photography, yoga, and fashion.
What are your three favorite eco-friendly products?
My tote that was handmade from recycled leather, Tarte Amazonian Clay Tinted Moisturizer, and .
What was the first step you took to a more eco- friendly lifestyle?
I became a vegetarian about 8 years ago and that sparked a desire to make more ethically and environmentally sound choices. I started buying cruelty-free cosmetics with way less harmful chemicals and buying natural and organic foods.
What is one way that our audience can take the first step toward an eco-friendly lifestyle?
I would say consigning clothes and buying ethical and eco-friendly ones is one of the easiest ways. Buying local fruits and veggies at the farmer’s market is a no brainer too.
Can you tell us how you got started in your blog?
I had dabbled in and out of blogging for awhile and lost interest in a previous blog I made because I pressured myself to write insightful and eloquent things and never about the day-to-day. I would look at fashion bloggers and love what they did but didn’t really see myself doing that. 6 months ago or so, I decided I would make a blog that could combine both-fun everyday things like clothes and makeup as well as heartfelt ones like inspiration and advice.
What is the best piece of business/blogging advice you ever received?
Alice Nicholls of The Whole Daily said that as a blogger you can’t run a “comparathon”. I’ve gotten trapped in comparing myself to other bloggers, wondering why they have so many followers and how I can be like them, rather than focusing on being authentic to myself.
What advice would you give to a new blogger?
Blogging isn’t about how many people read your posts or follow you on Instagram. It is about creating content you care about and want to share with an audience who is genuine and likes you for you, whether that’s 10 people or 10,000. It doesn’t matter how many people you reach if you don’t believe in what you’re writing about and care about having a positive impact in some way.
